The Rock Island Grand Prix is the world’s largest and most prestigious karting street race.

"Talk with any racer or spectator and they will rave about the experience. It’s simply the most fun you can have in kart racing, both on and off the track."

During the day, racers go head to head against the best in the sport on the safest street circuit in karting. At night competitors and spectators enjoy the nightlife of The Downtown Rock Island Arts & Entertainment District.

Exitement at the Rock Island Grand PrixThe Rock Island Grand Prix ranks as the ultimate experience in kart racing. There is no greater thrill than racing through city streets at speeds approaching 100 MPH, one inch off the ground as thousands of spectators cheer you on.

A family of more than 200 volunteers reunite each year to produce the race weekend for competitors who come from coast to coast as well as many foreign countries. There is nothing like the atmosphere of “The Rock.”

Conceived as a family festival event with free general admission, the Rock Island Grand Prix also features...

* Great Food
* Vendor Booths and Displays
* Family Activities
* Outdoor Concerts
* Live Music Venues
* Comedy Clubs
* Dinner Theater
* Restaurants and Bars
* Art Galleries
* Shops

All this forms the backdrop for an exciting weekend of racing. It’s all within walking distance of the Holiday Inn and the paddock area. Nearby, Jumer’s Casino & Hotel offers a Vegas-style diversion.

The Rock Island Grand Prix is the place to be as both drivers and fans can enjoy the experience of a lifetime each Labor Day Weekend. Plan to be a part of it this year.
